Make This: Home Sweet Gnome Jewelry Caddy DIY with Secret Compartment

DIY // gnome home jewelry caddy

Yous may call up from this post that I'm one of thirteen bloggers participating in Trade & Made, an interactive, cantankerous-land challenge created to inspire creatives.

And today is the final reveal. So what did I stop up using from my box of mystery supplies? A glass bottle from Specialty Bottle, acrylic pigment + brush from DecoArt, and a kraft cone from Michaels. With those supplies, and only those supplies, I created a tiny gnome home for some of my jewelry that blends in with other decor on a shelf, etc. It kind of looks like a place a gnome would live, right?

Shop rings on the 'roof' and smaller things, like pins, earrings, etc inside the jar (that's the hush-hush compartment)…Just pop off the roof, unscrew the hat, toss your jewelry in and close information technology back up. Information technology would also piece of work for other valuables that y'all want to hide in plainly site.

How did I make it? Well, like I said, I could only use items that were included in my box. So, I mixed my own colors from the paints I received – grey, imperial, and green for the blue gray colour, which I used for the roof, and orangish & pink for the pinkish peach color, which I used for the base. So it was only a affair of letting everything dry out and putting the pieces together. But honestly, this project is pretty straight forward, so I'll let the photos practise the talking…

And so that'south what I came upward with. What do you lot recollect? Too quirky/crazy or just right?

Thanks to Michaels, For the Makers, DecoArt, Clear & Unproblematic Stamps, and Specialty Canteen for providing all the goodies in the mystery boxes. And to Gloria, from Little White Whale, for designing the Trade & Fabricated website that links upwards to everyone involved. And, of course, to Erin & Laura for inviting me to take part in this year's claiming.

Visit the Trade & Fabricated website to view all thirteen projects from this claiming.
